It looks like the new MacBook Neo could be a huge sales success, especially with its starting price of $599, which drops to $499 for students. Besides the price, the device stands out as one of the most repairable Apple computers in years.

A disassembly clip published by YouTuber Phone Repair Guru revealed an interior design that focuses on ease of maintenance. Apple has decided to install many basic components such as the battery, speakers, trackpad, USB ports, and even the screen using only screws and connectors, without relying on large amounts of adhesives.

This step is remarkable, as most modern laptops usually rely on batteries that are firmly attached and ports soldered to the motherboard, which makes repairing them more difficult. The design of the MacBook Neo is therefore seen as a significant improvement in maintainability.

The device also features a relatively small motherboard for a laptop, and includes key components such as the A18 Pro processor, DRAM memory, and NAND storage unit.

Although these components are still soldered to the board, which is common in most modern laptops, the rest of the design remains easier to disassemble and repair.
