Lenovo has launched a new generation of Yoga 9i (2-in-1) Aura Edition laptops. Based on Intel’s Panther Lake platform, the 11th generation model departs from its 10th generation predecessor based on Lunar Lake processors in several key areas.

Lenovo has updated the Yoga 9i (2-in-1) Aura Edition computer with Intel’s Panther Lake platform. Now in its 11th generation, the Yoga 9 (2-in-1) shares some features. For example, the new laptop retains its glossy sides and a smaller screen cover than its keyboard.

Likewise, the side-mounted power button returns. However, Lenovo replaced the function row that occupied the right side of the keyboard with a traditional design. The 11th Gen version appears to feature the same 14-inch OLED display with 2.8K resolution, 120Hz variable refresh rate, and 1,100 nits brightness as its predecessor. Although Lenovo did not mention another option for the screen panel last year either, it went on to offer a 4K version and a 60Hz refresh rate as well.

Surprisingly, Lenovo has reduced the battery capacity of the Yoga 9i (2-in-1) Aura Edition from 75 Wh to 70 Wh. This was partly helped by the laptop’s weight being reduced from 1.32 kg to 1.29 kg and its thickness decreasing from 15.9 mm to 15.29 mm. However, the new model is slightly wider and deeper with dimensions of 317 x 223 mm versus 316 x 220 mm.

Lenovo also installs four speakers with up to 2TB of SSD storage and 32GB of LPDDR5x-7467 RAM. Currently, Lenovo is announcing the new Yoga 9i (2-in-1) Aura Edition with an Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processor rather than any more powerful alternatives like the Core Ultra X7 or X9. The Yoga 9i (2-in-1) Aura Edition will be available later this month across Africa, Europe and the Middle East. The price of the new 2-in-1 computer will start at 1,799 euros (about 2,115 dollars) in the eurozone.
