Reports leaking from developers and people interested in Apple indicate that Apple is planning to introduce a new dark mode in its new update to iOS 13 later this year. Bloomberg reported that iOS 13 will include a new dark mode, which is supposed to be system-wide, that is, “for easier night viewing.”

Many applications have added dark mode in recent years, but many iPhone owners have been calling on Apple to introduce this feature in its operating system, so this will be a welcome addition for everyone, knowing that Apple has included the dark mode that was launched with MacOS Mojave last year.

Dark mode won’t be the only major addition to iOS 13, though: improvements to CarPlay are said to be clearly planned, along with a new Home Screen for iPad, so we’ve heard rumors of a redesigned Home screen before, but Apple reportedly delayed its introduction with last year’s iOS 12 update, favoring performance and performance improvements instead.

Bloomberg isn’t offering any new details about what the Home screen will look like on the new iPad, but iOS 13 is said to include a tab interface for improvements and file management, and Apple is integrating new services into iOS 13, including a magazine subscription service and original video content. This isn’t surprising, given Apple’s increased services revenue over the past year.

We’ll likely get a better idea of what features iOS 13 will bring in June when Apple is expected to hold its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).
