IKEA has introduced the new Varmblixt LED smart bulb in the US, after it was announced in early 2026, and it has already arrived in several European markets ahead of its official launch scheduled for April.

The lamp maintains the distinctive circular design of the original model, as it can be placed on a table or mounted on the wall. It also supports dimming, and offers white and colored lighting, with a lifespan expected to reach about 25,000 hours.

The lamp supports working with the IKEA Dirigera hub and the IKEA Home Smart app, allowing users to adjust settings and control more than one smart home device at the same time. It also provides Matter-over-Thread support, which helps it integrate with smart home systems from Google, Apple, and Amazon.

IKEA has included the lamp with a pre-paired smart control that allows you to easily adjust the brightness or change the colors remotely.
