In conjunction with its announcement of the standard Chromebook 14 series, HP revealed updates to the “Chromebook Plus” models for the year 2026, aimed at users looking for higher performance and stronger specifications, as both the HP Chromebook Plus 14 and its converted version, the Chromebook Plus x360 14, are powered by the powerful Intel Core 3 N355 processor, which distinguishes them from the versions not equipped with the “Plus” branding.

The new models share a 14-inch IPS screen with a resolution of (1920 x 1200) and a brightness of 300 nits, with a difference in design, as the x360 model offers 2-in-1 flexibility with a 360-degree hinge and options for screens with full glass edges and multi-touch support. Since it falls under the Chromebook Plus category, it comes with 8GB of LPDDR5 random access memory (RAM) as standard, with storage options starting from 128GB UFS. And up to 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD.

At the connectivity level, the two devices support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 technologies, but the main difference lies in the ports. The x360 model contains two USB-C ports, while the regular model only has one port, both of which support fast charging (50% in 45 minutes). To enhance privacy, the 1080p webcam is equipped with a mechanical shutter and a key to mute the microphone. As an important added value, buyers will receive a free one-year subscription to the Google AI Pro service. The devices are scheduled to be launched in February in silver colors (Glacier and Meteor) without the prices being revealed yet.
