Set a passcode for your Netflix profile
The streaming service (Netflix) has launched a new update to its parental control tools, including a new tool that allows the user to set a special PIN for his personal profile, which prevents anyone else from using it without his knowledge. Here’s how to lock your Netflix profile with a PIN.
What you should know first? Naturally, we find that all Netflix accounts are protected with a password, but within each account there are sub-profiles for several users. For example, one family of five members may use one Netflix account, and thus there will be 4 sub-profiles next to the main account.
But with the new update, each individual user or each family member can set a four-digit PIN (personal identification number) for his or her profile. As of now, this PIN can only be set through a web browser, not in the Netflix app for smartphones, but once this code is activated, you will be prompted for it across all your devices, including the iOS or Android app.
