After Honor revealed the full global specifications of the Magic V6 phone’s hardware, less than a year after the release of the Magic V5 phone. At the same time, the company also confirmed its availability within China and in other markets. Moreover, Honor provided us with a hands-on experience of three of the four launch colors of the device.
Specifically, we had the opportunity to try out the Magic V6 in red, gold, and white colors. Among these colors, white is the thinnest, with a thickness of 4 mm when open and 8.75 mm when closed. The white version is also officially slightly lighter, weighing 219 grams compared to 224 grams for the gold and red versions of the device. The same applies to the black version, which has not been tested yet.
Despite Honor’s claims, the Magic V6 doesn’t offer a completely crease-free viewing experience. However, the hinge ensures that the phone folds flat and stays in place. The new foldable phone from Honor also closes more firmly and confidently compared to previous generations as well.
From experience, the new 6600 mAh battery provides impressive operating times during the first few days of use. This larger battery capacity is also coupled with 66W wireless charging and 80W wired charging. While the Magic V6 outperforms the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in performance, it remains to be seen whether the Magic V6 will outperform the Find N5 and Find N6 in battery tests. Please watch the video above and images below for more hands-on shots of the Magic V6.
