After Honor globally unveiled the Magic V6 phone last weekend, it will be the first foldable phone based on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The new phone offers noticeable upgrades compared to the previous version, Magic V5, most notably improving the internal specifications to provide stronger performance and a smoother user experience.

Despite the official unveiling of the phone, it will not be available in global markets soon. Honor merely hinted that the phone would arrive in global markets as an alternative to the previous version during the second half of this year, while it officially confirmed that the actual launch in the Chinese market will take place on March 10.

The phone comes with a 6600 mAh battery in its global version. But the company confirmed that the Chinese version will receive a huge upgrade, as the phone will come with a 7150 mAh battery, thus providing significantly longer battery life for users in China.

Recent leaks indicate additional details about battery options in the Chinese market. Despite the official announcement of the huge capacity, some specific copies of the Magic V6 phone may be available in China with a 6850 mAh battery, giving users various options to suit their needs when sales start.
