Recent reports revealed that Google and Apple are collaborating to make the transition between their two mobile operating systems easier than ever before.

The first trace of this collaboration appears in the latest version of Android Canary, which was launched today, but it is intended for developers only for now.

While it will take some time before this feature reaches Android Beta and then the stable version, work is currently underway to develop it.

For its part, Apple will integrate this feature into a future version of iOS 26, where it is expected that users will be able to transfer more types of data between Android and iOS, in addition to adding improved functionality to make the process easier.

The previous method to move from iOS to Android was based on the Android Switch application, while the transition from Android to iOS was via the Move to iOS application.

The new feature, which will be integrated directly into both systems, will make the transfer process smoother and easier, allowing for a better user experience without complications.
