Epic Games has announced the rules for the Victory Cups tournaments in Fortnite for Chapter 7 Season 2, with a new system that gradually raises ranking requirements and offers direct cash prizes to the winners.
Solo tournaments start with the condition of reaching Platinum, then rising to Elite in the second event, and reaching Unreal in the final. As for Reload Duos tournaments, they require an Elite rating for both players from the beginning.
The tournaments are based on a two-stage system, where the first round lasts for two hours with a maximum of 8 matches, while the best players qualify for the second round, which lasts one hour with only three matches.
In the final round, the evaluation is limited to the number of Victory Royale wins without taking into account the rest of the points, unlike the first round, which depends on the ranking and the number of eliminations.
As for prizes, Solo players get $100 for each win in the final round, while Duos teams get $200 for each win.
