The semiconductor crisis is worsening globally, as Ayaneo announced the discontinuation of production of the Pocket FIT device with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor after the current manufacturing batch, due to the significant rise in component costs.
The company explained that the prices of storage units witnessed sharp jumps, which made the cost of production exceed the selling price, and thus continuing manufacturing became economically unfeasible.
The device is a portable gaming platform running the Android system, with a 6-inch screen with FHD resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate, and an 8000 mAh battery, but the version equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor is the one that will be discontinued, while other versions may continue.

The crisis did not stop there, as the company also announced the suspension of sales of the more powerful NEXT 2 device, for the same reasons related to unprecedented high costs.
This step reflects a broader crisis in the market, with major companies affected and the prices of processors and memory rising globally.
