Asus has unveiled the Intel processor-powered version of the ExpertBook B3 G2 laptop, which features an Intel Panther Lake chip with up to 16 cores, DDR5 memory with a massive capacity of 96 GB, and plenty of ports. The laptop can also be equipped with a QHD display with a frequency of 144 Hz.

Along with the variant powered by AMD processors, Asus also unveiled a version of the ExpertBook B3 G2 to please the “blue camp”. The latest entrant to the ExpertBook lineup is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 366H CPU, and is available in 16-inch and 14-inch sizes with an attractive range of features, including high refresh rate displays.

Intel’s Panther Lake processors promise next-generation performance It contains a wizard Intel Core Ultra 7 366H “Panther Lake” It has 16 cores consisting of 4 performance cores (P-cores), 8 efficiency cores (E-cores), and 4 low-power efficiency cores (LP E-cores). According to the Geekbench listings, multi-core performance should be in the same range as the Ryzen 9 7940HX and AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. In other words, the CPU performance of these high-end specifications should leave no room for complaint.

Aside from the Core Ultra 7 366H, the ExpertBook B3 G2 will ship with the following CPU options:

Intel Core Ultra 7 356H: 16 cores / 16 threads.

Intel Core Ultra 7 355: 8 cores / 8 threads.

Intel Core Ultra 5 335: 8 cores / 8 threads.

Intel Core Ultra 5 325: 8 cores / 8 threads.

Both the 16-inch and 14-inch models feature two display options: a 1080p 60Hz panel with a claimed peak brightness of 300 nits, and a 1600p 144Hz panel with a claimed 100% sRGB color gamut coverage and 400 nits peak brightness. However, the 14-inch model will also have a touch-enabled option for the 1080p panel.

Memory requirements will be handled by up to 96GB of RAM DDR5-5600. On the other hand, storage requirements will be taken care of by the M.2 2280 PCIe 5.0 slot, in addition to the M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slot. There is no discrete graphics processing unit (dGPU) option in any of the variants, leaving customers to rely on the 4-core Xe3 integrated GPU.

Other features of the Asus ExpertBook B3 G2 lineup include dual speakers, a spill-resistant keyboard, WiFi 6E/7, a 5MP IR camera, and TPM 2.0 support. Pricing and availability details are unclear at the time of writing.
