Aptoide has launched the new AppArena game store on iOS in Japan, making it the first alternative store dedicated to games in this market, after regulatory changes that allowed the presence of third-party stores.
This launch came in cooperation with BBSS, a subsidiary of SoftBank Group, as the store aims to provide a different experience based on discovering games instead of traditional menus.
AppArena offers a range of features, including personalized nomination articles, a 15-minute cloud gaming experience without downloading, in addition to a rewards system that gives users points for in-game purchases.

The store also relies on the Game Genie feature powered by artificial intelligence, which helps users quickly find suitable games based on their preferences.
This step reflects a new trend towards opening the iOS system to alternative platforms, especially in markets that have begun to impose legislation that supports competition.
