Recent technical tests have revealed interesting details about the charging speeds of Apple’s MacBook Neo laptop. Although the company’s official technical specifications indicate that the device does not support the fast charging feature, practical experiments have proven that the laptop can be charged more quickly when using certain chargers produced by Apple. The brand provides a 20-watt USB-C Power Adapter charger inside the box in most global markets with the exception of the United Kingdom and European Union markets, where the device is sold without a charger.
A new video showed that using the 35W Dual USB-C Port Compact Power Adapter charger from the same company represents the best and ideal option. This dual charger achieves the fastest possible charging speed at the lowest additional cost compared to the included charger, as tests recorded that the charging speed reached a peak of only 18 watts when using the default 20-watt charger, while this speed jumped to 30 watts when using the alternative 35-watt charger.
This improved dual charger is available in two different sizes through the company’s online store at a price of 59 US dollars. Although the technical platform did not precisely specify the amount of time saved by using this more powerful charger compared to the standard charger, experts estimate the possibility of saving a time ranging between 20 to 30 minutes to reach a full charge of the battery, which makes it a practical investment for users looking to reduce waiting times and increase daily productivity.
The options available are not limited to only Apple products to speed up the charging process. The technical markets are full of a wide variety of chargers with a power of 30 watts or more from other companies that can charge the device at maximum speeds ranging between 28 watts and 30 watts to save users money, but for those committed to the original company’s products, you must know that the more expensive chargers with a power of 96 watts or 140 watts will not provide any additional speed beyond what the 35 watt charger offers.
These precise technical details come only one week after the official launch of the MacBook Neo computer last Wednesday. This launch witnessed an unparalleled success, according to statements by Tim Cook, CEO of the company, who proudly announced that Apple computers had just recorded their best launch week ever thanks to the interest of a huge number of new buyers who acquired these devices for the first time, which reflects the great appeal that this new version enjoys in the markets.
