Omdia data revealed that Apple topped the smartphone market during 2025, shipping 240.6 million units, achieving a market share of 19%.
It was slightly outperformed by Samsung, which recorded 239.1 million shipments with the same market share when rounded. Interestingly, Apple and Samsung grew by exactly 7% compared to 2024.
In third place was Xiaomi, with sales decreasing by 2% from 2024, after shipping 165.4 million units, achieving a market share of 13%. It was followed by Vivo with 105.3 million shipments, a share of 8% and annual growth of 4%. As for Oppo, it ranked fifth with 100.7 million shipments, an 8% share and a 3% decrease in sales compared to the previous year.
Close behind in fifth place is Transun, which also has an 8% share, followed by Honor with 6%, Lenovo 5%, Huawei 4%, and Realme 3%.

The total market recorded a growth of 2% in 2025, bringing total shipments to 1.25 billion units. All regions witnessed growth except for the Greater China region, which recorded a slight decline as a result of “the decline in the impact of the national support program.” However, Apple grew 26% in mainland China thanks to “strong demand for the iPhone 17 series.”
