Apple announced a new generation of iPad Air in its usual 11- and 13-inch versions, with the update to the M4 chip, which this time comes with 12 GB of memory instead of 8 GB in the previous generation.

The most prominent feature of this update is full support for Wi-Fi 7 via the N1 wireless chip designed by Apple, and support for the C1X modem in cellular versions to obtain a faster and more stable 5G connection. The additional memory allows Apple Intelligence AI features to run more smoothly compared to the previous generation.

There is no change in the exterior design, and the device remains available in the usual four colors: blue, violet, starlight, and space grey.

Prices remain the same, with the 11-inch starting at $599 and the 13-inch starting at $799. Pre-order opens on March 4th, and availability starts from March 11, 2026.
