Apple clearly confirmed that it did not make any concessions in the design of its new MacBook Neo laptop, despite its launch at an economical price starting at only $599, and reaching $499 for university students. Molly Anderson, Vice President of the Industrial Design Department at the company, explained during a press interview with a magazine specializing in architecture and design that the new device is definitely a MacBook computer, stressing the importance of maintaining high design standards and not compromising on them.

Anderson added that it was very necessary for the new device to embody the essence of the original MacBook computers in every detail. To achieve this goal, the company was keen to use high-quality aluminum in the manufacture of the external chassis of the computer instead of resorting to cheap plastic, stressing that the matter was not limited to simply redesigning an old form, but rather it was like building a completely new device from scratch using excellent and exceptional materials.

The new computer is available in fun and attractive color options, including pink and citrus, which aims to clearly distinguish it from the usual MacBook Air and MacBook Pro series. The Vice President of the Design Department pointed out the importance of the user feeling that this economical device represents an integral part of the Apple family, but at the same time it has an independent and unique personality that expresses the youthful spirit and suits the aspirations of the target group.

Despite the use of luxury materials in the exterior design, the company was forced to make some concessions in technical aspects to reduce the cost. For example, the computer comes with only 8 GB of random access memory, and the fingerprint sensor feature is limited to the version that is priced at $699. In addition, the device lacks a magnetic charging port, one of the USB-C ports works at a slow speed of 480 MB per second, and the keyboard comes without a backlight.

Despite these notable technical limitations, this economical computer is expected to achieve great success among students and users who need a Mac to accomplish basic daily tasks such as browsing the Internet and editing documents. The company has opened the door for pre-order to obtain the device starting on March 4, in preparation for its official launch in the market and making it available to buyers starting on March 11.
