Apple quietly unveiled the second generation of AirPods Max headphones, which come equipped with a new H2 chip that offers noticeable improvements in noise isolation performance. According to the company, the new headphones provide active noise isolation that is approximately 1.5 times more effective compared to the previous generation.
The H2 chip also brings a group of smart features, including Adaptive Audio and Live Translation, in addition to the Conversation Awareness feature that automatically lowers the volume when it detects speech from around the user.

The headphones also support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, in addition to a new high dynamic range subwoofer, which is supposed to provide purer sound. Apple also provided the feature of using the Digital Crown as a button to take photos remotely.
In terms of design, the company has not made any significant changes compared to the first generation that was launched in 2020. The battery life still reaches 20 hours with noise isolation activated, and charging is done via the USB-C port, which also allows playing Lossless audio with 24-bit and 48kHz resolution.
AirPods Max 2 are available for $549, with pre-order starting on March 25, with shipments beginning in early April.
