Apple is preparing to launch its new budget phone in the coming period, as leaks indicate that it may be announced on February 19. Although there is no official confirmation yet, YouTuber Jon Prosser revealed a video showing what is said to be the first appearance of the iPhone 17e.

The video showed the phone’s design with Dynamic Island feature and MagSafe charging support. However, recent reports suggested that the phone will not have a Dynamic Island, and that Apple will be content with the traditional notch design as in the iPhone 16e.

In terms of design, the iPhone 17e is expected to come in a similar shape to the previous generation with possible new colors. Information indicates that it is based on the A19 chip, along with a single 48-megapixel rear camera.

The leaker also mentioned that if the phone supports the Dynamic Island feature, it may include a new square selfie sensor with a resolution of 18 megapixels.

As for the rest of the specifications, the device is expected to retain a 6.1-inch screen with a 60 Hz refresh rate, and a 4,000 mAh battery, with the addition of the new C1X modem and N1 chip to improve connectivity.

As for the price, it is rumored to start at $599 for the 128GB version. If expectations are correct, Apple may officially unveil the phone in the coming days.
