Garmin has launched a new beta update, version 16.37, for a select group of its smart watches. This new version comes for users of the Venu
The new update brings noticeable improvements to the route planning tool in these smart watches to meet the needs of athletes. The company explained that the overall performance of this feature has witnessed significant development to provide a smoother and more accurate experience, and although precise technical details about the nature of these improvements have not been revealed, the release also includes a comprehensive update to the translation function in these wearable devices.
The beta update is not limited to adding new features only, but also includes a wide range of important software fixes. The manufacturer addressed two major problems that caused the operating system to collapse and suddenly stop working in the Vivoactive 6 watches and similar versions. The first problem clearly appeared when using headphones, while the second appeared when practicing intense HIIT sports activity.
The developers succeeded in solving another technical problem that was bothering many users in previous versions. This software problem caused only one alert to appear for users’ daily goals throughout the entire day, which negatively affected their ability to track their physical activity and monitor their ongoing progress. The system has now returned to working efficiently and sending multiple alerts as it should throughout periods of activity.
Owners of the Venu Participants in the pilot program can easily download the new update by going to the main menu, then going to Settings, choosing the system, then updating the program, and finally clicking on the option to check for updates.
