OnePlus is preparing to launch the OnePlus 15T later this month in China, which is a compact phone that comes with a 6.3-inch screen.
At the same time, leaks indicate that the company is working on developing its next flagship phone, the OnePlus 16, which is expected to be unveiled during the fourth quarter of 2026.
As is usual with leading OnePlus phones, the new phone will be based on the latest Qualcomm processors. Leaks indicate that Qualcomm plans this year to launch two versions of its flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and a more powerful version called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.
According to the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 16 will come with a processor bearing the code SM8975, which is believed to belong to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip. The processor is also expected to be based on 2nm manufacturing technology with the possibility of frequency speed reaching about 5GHz, in addition to supporting LPDDR6 memory instead of LPDDR5X used in the current generation.

In terms of photography, the phone may receive a major upgrade in cameras, as leaks indicate that it may be equipped with a 200-megapixel periscopic telephoto camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, compared to a smaller 50-megapixel sensor in the previous generation.
Rumors also talk about other powerful specifications, including a huge battery that may have a capacity of up to 9,000 mAh, in addition to a screen whose refresh rate may exceed 200 Hz.
