Samsung, according to a new leak from Korea, is developing the second generation of its dual foldable phone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, despite stopping the first generation in the Korean market after a short sales period that did not exceed three months. It seems that the company has not abandoned this trend, but is preparing to introduce a new, more advanced version in the coming years.
According to leaked details, the Galaxy Z TriFold 2 will arrive in mid-2027, with a thinner and lighter design than the current generation. The information indicates that its thickness when folded will be very close to the Galaxy Z Fold7, which is 8.9 mm thick, compared to 12.9 mm in the current Galaxy Z TriFold, which means a clear improvement in ease of portability and use.

In the same context, Samsung is also developing a prototype of the first sliding screen phone, which will likely be called the Galaxy Z Slide if it reaches commercial production. So far, estimates indicate that it could be launched in late 2027 or early 2028, provided that the development process goes as planned.
