Recent leaks and analyzes revealed many specifications and details related to the innovations that Apple plans to launch in September 2026. For the first time, the company will clearly separate the iPhone Pro and iPhone Fold phones, while the regular iPhone 18 models will remain available only in 2027.

Thus, those wishing to acquire the new iPhone 18 in 2026 will have to choose between the more expensive iPhone 18 Pro models, or the iPhone Fold, which is likely to be the highest price.

Regarding design, Apple is expected to rely on Touch ID and the perforated FaceTime camera in the iPhone Fold screens, while in the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max it will follow the well-known perforated screen design in Android phones, with the Face ID sensors hidden under the screen invisibly, as prototypes recently showed.

The Dynamic Island will still exist, but it will be integrated into a smaller screen slot on the left side, as the stereoscopic videos show.

The holographic video also shows off the iPhone 18 Pro (Max) in three possible colors. FPT presenter, John Prosser, reported that Apple is testing at least three new color options that include brown, shades of violet, along with burgundy red, which is consistent with previous rumors, and Apple may adopt one of these three colors in the final version.

In addition, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to include several technical innovations, such as Apple’s first 2nm process chip, potentially called the Apple A20, along with the new Apple C2 modem that will replace previous Qualcomm modems.

Senior analysts are also likely that the new phones will support 5G satellite service, in addition to the currently available satellite emergency feature, although it has not been officially confirmed yet. Potential changes also include a variable aperture on the main camera, to meet the needs of aspiring photographers.
