The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the blatant Iranian attack that targeted the United States Embassy building in the city of Riyadh, in a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and a flagrant violation of all relevant international norms and conventions.
The Ministry confirmed, in a statement reported by the Yemeni news agency “Saba” on Tuesday, that targeting diplomatic headquarters represents a clear violation of the Geneva and Vienna Conventions on diplomatic and consular relations, and of the principles established in international law that guarantee complete immunity for diplomatic missions and their employees, and prohibits exposure to them under any circumstances.
The Ministry renewed its strong condemnation of the repeated Iranian attacks that targeted civilian objects and vital installations in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the countries of Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and the Sultanate of Oman, which reflects a systematic aggressive pattern that targets the security and stability of countries in the region, and undermines international peace and security.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the full solidarity of the Republic of Yemen with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the sister countries, and its support for its inherent right to take all necessary measures and measures to protect its security and sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents of its land, in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
