Prices of white chickens stabilized today, Saturday, April 4, 2026, amid warnings from the Poultry Division of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce regarding the impact of sharp declines on the stability of the sector during the coming period. Prices fell after Ramadan by about 30%, which causes the exit of small breeders and then a sudden rise in prices again.

Today, the prices of white chickens on the stock exchange recorded a maximum of about 73 pounds, while the execution price reached about 72 pounds per kilo. As for Sasso chickens, they ranged between 105 and 106 pounds, while the prices of chicks announced by companies recorded between 20 and 27 pounds.

In a related context, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Sayed, Head of the Poultry Division at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, warned of the negative repercussions of the sharp decline in poultry prices, especially after the end of the month of Ramadan.
He explained that this decline may lead to breeders incurring significant losses, forcing some of them to leave the market, which may subsequently cause a shortage in supply and a sharp rise in prices.
He also pointed out that the uncontrolled interference of some brokers in setting prices increases the severity of fluctuations, calling for the necessity of establishing a clear and fair mechanism for pricing poultry that ensures market stability and production sustainability.
