Magdy Abdel Ghani, the former Egyptian football star, confirmed that the performance provided by the Zamalek team during the recent period, in light of the circumstances the club is going through, is a great achievement that amounts to a miracle.
Statements by Magdy Abdel Ghani
Magdy Abdel Ghani said, during television statements, that the club’s members are the ones who bear the real responsibility at this stage, hoping that the team will continue on the same path and be crowned with the Confederation Championship.
Magdy Abdel Ghani added that the Pyramids team is one of the strong teams, but its players play without real public pressure, which gives them greater comfort on the field compared to the mass clubs.
Magdy Abdel Ghani pointed out that Al-Ahly is suffering from crises inside the dressing room, stressing that the atmosphere within the team is not stable, which is reflected in the results in the recent period.
Abdel-Ghani criticized Al-Ahly management’s decisions, explaining that they did not give enough opportunity to coach Imad El-Nahhas, and preferred to hire a foreign coach, despite the existence of previous successful experiences by Egyptian coaches such as Mohamed Youssef and Hossam El-Badry.
He explained that Al-Ahly’s recent losses were due to internal reasons, which he described as a “loss of intentions” as a result of tense relations between the team’s members, citing previous situations that affected the club’s stability, stressing that Al-Ahly is the one who makes the names of the coaches, noting that any coach who takes over its leadership gains great fame and history.
Magdy Abdel Ghani held coach Pace Torop responsible for the technical crises within the team, stressing that it was the main reason for the decline in performance.
He concluded his statements by noting that if Walid Salah El-Din departs from the position of football director, Sayed Abdel Hafeez will be the most appropriate choice to assume this position during the next stage.
