This came during a dialogue session entitled “Sports in Alexandria between Challenge and Solutions,” in the presence of the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Governor of Alexandria, and a number of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, along with a number of heads of popular clubs in Alexandria Governorate.
The session discussed the reality of sports in Alexandria Governorate, and reviewed the most prominent challenges facing sports clubs and facilities, in addition to presenting a number of proposals and solutions that contribute to developing the sports system in the governorate, and enhancing the role of clubs in discovering talent and supporting athletes.
Attia explained that developing the sports system in the governorate is not limited to infrastructure only, but extends to supporting administrative and technical personnel and creating an attractive environment for sports investment, which contributes to achieving the financial sustainability of the clubs.
Engineer Ayman Attia stressed that Alexandria has great capabilities that qualify it to host various sporting tournaments and events, which the governorate is working to strengthen in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and all concerned parties, in a way that restores Alexandria to its leading position on the Egyptian sports map.
The session witnessed interaction from the audience, as a number of visions and proposals were presented by members of the House of Representatives and the Senate and heads of public clubs, in a way that enhances opportunities for joint cooperation to achieve further development of sports in Alexandria Governorate.
