The accused in the niqab crime case in Boulak Dakrour

Cairo 24 obtained the text of the investigations, where the statements of the first accused, named Hassan M.M., a food distributor, came before the investigating authorities by asking him: What was your path to being able to pay the sums of money mentioned in the statement?

A: I was thinking every day what to do, and one of the companies wouldn’t stop giving me goods because they were losing money to me and I was late in paying. During this period, I was seeing relief and we were sitting together and talking to each other until the topic of theft came to mind and what happened happened.
Q: What is your relationship with the accused, Faraj A.A.?
A: This Faraj is close to my father’s family. I mean, you can say that I am like my cousin.

Q: To what extent has the nature of the relationship reached in your home?
A: We are not relatives, we are also friends, and we see each other a lot and talk to each other. One time, I was telling him my circumstances and he was telling me his circumstances, and we agreed that we had to do anything to get money.

Q: When and where is that?
A: When we spoke about the theft, it was about 10 days or more ago and we were sitting in Bulaq al-Dakrur.

Q: To what extent has the aforementioned accused stumbled financially?
A: Yes, Faraj is in a bad situation as well, and he is almost sitting from work or looking for a job and always has problems with his wife. On the day we agreed to do this theft, he did not have money to charge the electric meter in his house, and he was talking to me about this matter, and at that time we agreed that we would do anything, the important thing was to get money.

Q: What method did you specify for obtaining the money?
A: We thought a lot until we found no solution other than stealing, and then I suggested to him that we steal from my aunt Hana.

Q: Why did you choose the victim specifically and not anyone else?

A: For this reason, the first of which is that I know that my aunt Hanaa’s circumstances were very good and she had money, and if we stole part of what she had from her, we would break our throats with it. It would not be very harmful unless she steals from someone who has no money, and she is also my aunt, so it will be easy for me to enter.
