The security services at the Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of a post supported by a photo that was circulated on social media sites, which included the allegation that 4 people were engaging in acts of bullying and trafficking in firearms and narcotic substances, and alleging that the security services at the Sidfa Police Station in Assiut colluded with them.
Two parties to a firearms quarrel were arrested due to neighborly disputes in Assiut
Upon examination, it was revealed that these allegations were not true, and that the truth of the incident is that on March 15 of this year, the Sidfa Police Station was informed that a quarrel had occurred between a first party: 2 of the defendants and 3 farmers, and a second party: 3 farmers, all residing in the district of the center, due to disputes between them over neighborhood and children’s entertainment, during which they exchanged assaults on each other by insulting and beating each other, without causing any injuries. Investigations confirmed that neither party engaged in acts of bullying or trafficking in firearms and materials. Narcotic.
The two parties to the quarrel were arrested, and they were in possession of two automatic rifles and an unlicensed stove. When confronted, they admitted to committing the incident as referred to without firing shots from the weapons seized in their possession. Legal measures were taken, and the Public Prosecution took over the investigation.
