The security services arrested two parties to an altercation that witnessed the firing of gunshots at the Third Ismailia Police Department, after a video clip of the incident was circulated on social media.
A quarrel with birdshot over a motorcycle
The examination revealed that the quarrel occurred between a first party consisting of 4 people, three of whom had criminal information, and one of them was injured by a birdshot, and a second party consisting of 4 people with criminal information, all of whom reside in the department’s office.
Investigations revealed that the dispute broke out between the two parties over the purchase of a motorcycle, and the matter developed into a quarrel during which the two parties exchanged insults and blows, before a member of the second party fired a bullet from a birdshot rifle he was in possession of, wounding a member of the first party.
A member of the first party also set fire to the motorcycle in question.
After codifying the procedures, the security services were able to arrest both parties to the quarrel and seized two shotguns in their possession. When confronted, they admitted to committing the incident because of the aforementioned dispute.
The necessary legal measures were taken, and the competent authorities took over the investigation.
