Board of Directors approved Public Authority for Health Care To transfer the dependency of New Aswan Hospital to the Authority from the New Aswan City Development Authority, following the completion of its development work in accordance with accreditation and quality standards, in preparation for transforming it into an integrated center for oncology treatment and related medical services.

The decision came during the 96th regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Public Health Care Authority, headed by Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Chairman of the Authority’s Board of Directors and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, as part of the Authority’s plan to enhance subspecialties in medicine and develop health services provided to citizens.
The council explained that the hospital will operate with a capacity of 158 beds, which will contribute to supporting oncology treatment services and providing specialized medical care for oncology patients, especially in the governorates of Upper Egypt.
The authority confirmed that transforming the hospital into a specialized center for oncology treatment comes within the framework of the state’s efforts to develop health infrastructure and expand the scope of advanced therapeutic services, which contributes to reducing the burden on patients and providing oncology treatment services within the governorates of Upper Egypt in accordance with the latest standards of quality and medical care.
