The Drinking Water and Sanitation Company announced In Sohag About cutting off water to the villages of the desert back in the center of Dar es Salaam, which are: Arab Al-Sabha, Helwan, Ezbet Radwan, and Siddiq Al-Minshawi, today, Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

The company explained that the outage will begin at six in the morning and continue until eleven in the morning, for a period of five continuous hours.

Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din Abdel Ghaffar, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director, stated that the reason for the outage was due to the implementation of 8-inch by 12-inch sectional works in the expulsion line of the Sheikh Battikh Artesian Station, as part of maintenance work and raising the efficiency of the water system.

The head of Sohag Water added that the company receives citizens’ complaints through the hotline 125 from any landline or mobile phone, or via the WhatsApp number 01207125125, as well as through the mobile phone application (HCWW 125), or through the company’s website www.scww.com.eg.

He pointed out that during the outage period, the upgraded Dar es Salaam and the nominated Ouled Salem stations will operate at full capacity, in addition to providing free pure water vehicles that will be paid for to meet the needs of citizens when needed.

The Sohag Water and Sanitation Company calls on citizens, bakery owners, and officials of government agencies and hospitals to arrange the quantities of water necessary for them during the outage period.
