Today, Monday, the free specialized medical convoys organized by the Supreme Medical and Distress Committee of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, will begin, and will continue until next April 9 in the Naqada and Qaft centers, in cooperation with the Egyptian Healing Bank Foundation.
Free medical convoys
Major General Dr. Mustafa Al-Beblawi, Governor of Qena, explained that the convoy specializing in ophthalmology will start today, Monday, in the village of Al-Awsat Qamula, in the Naqada center, and will continue until Tuesday, April 7. It is an integrated convoy that includes the specialties of orthopedics, internal medicine, children, dermatology, and nose, ear, and throat.
The Governor of Qena continued that the convoys aim to detect, perform operations, and dispense treatment to approximately 5,000 citizens, as the Egyptian Shifa Bank Foundation is responsible for providing the medical staff, equipment, and devices necessary for the convoy.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Sadiq, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Qena, indicated that the convoys will extend to the village of Al-Brahma in the Qift Center, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, and it is an integrated convoy that includes the specialties of orthopedics, internal medicine, children, dermatology, and ENT, pointing out that the fourth convoy will be on Thursday, April 9, 2026, and it is an integrated convoy specializing in ophthalmia.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Qena confirmed that this comes in light of the directives of Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, to make all efforts to serve citizens, in coordination and cooperation with civil society organizations.
