Dr. Walid Al-Barqi, Governor of the Red Sea, announced the necessity of developing the hygiene system in the city of Hurghada, stressing that improving the level of cleanliness represents the utmost importance in the executive action plan, because of its direct impact on the quality of life and supporting the tourism components of the city.

“He explained”TelegramIn press statements, a new experiment will be implemented, namely “collection from the source,” which will be implemented initially in the Magawish, Al-Hilal, and Staff areas, in order to achieve a tangible improvement in waste collection mechanisms, raise the efficiency of sorting, reduce accumulations, and maximize the benefit from the solid waste system.

The Governor of the Red Sea stressed the need to adhere to a clear implementation plan that includes specific time stages, and precise mechanisms for follow-up and evaluation, to ensure the achievement of the targeted results, stressing the importance of integrating roles between the concerned authorities, while intensifying community awareness campaigns to ensure citizens’ cooperation with the new system.

His Excellency also directed to intensify the work of sweeping and cleaning streets on a daily and regular basis in all neighborhoods of the city, and to raise the efficiency of equipment and work teams, to ensure the sustainability of the level of cleanliness and preserve the appropriate civilized image in the city of Hurghada.
