The official spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Defense announced that an attack attempt had been thwarted for the second time, targeting the company’s Ras Tanura refinery Aramco.
The spokesman explained that initial estimates indicate that the attack was carried out using a drone, stressing that it did not result in any damage.
Disturbances in the Strait of Hormuz
Earlier today, the British Maritime Trade Operations Authority announced that an oil tanker suffered a major explosion while sailing off the coast of Fujairah in the Gulf.
The authority confirmed that all crew members of the tanker were fine and that no injuries were recorded.
She added that preliminary investigations showed that unknown projectile debris was found on the deck of the tanker, suggesting that it was exposed to an attack, while the party responsible for the accident is not yet known.
