US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday that the United States attacked Iran because it was seeking to possess nuclear weapons and there was no doubt about its intentions.
The US Secretary of State added that Iran built its nuclear facilities in the mountains and the technology used is designed for a rapid transition to producing weapons.
Rubio explained that Tehran rejected all opportunities to obtain a peaceful nuclear program, and was on the verge of possessing so many missiles and drones that it would prevent any harm to its nuclear program.
He stressed that Iran’s possession of an arsenal of drones and missiles to protect its nuclear ambitions represents an unacceptable risk, noting that the military strike was our last chance to eliminate the conventional threat posed by Iran.
The US Secretary of State explained that the goal of the war against Iran is to destroy the arsenal of missiles and drones to force Tehran to deal seriously with the world.
