The club’s two volleyball teams enter Al-AhlyFor women and men, the decisive stage of the current season, where a limited number of matches remain before the curtain falls on the local and continental competitions, with great ambitions to achieve 3 championships for each team.
Volleyball Women: 3 matches separate them from the local treble
Yesterday evening, Al-Ahly women’s volleyball team won the Egypt Cup title against traditional rivals Zamalek after winning three clean games, achieving the titles of the Al-Muttala League, the Super Cup and the Egypt Cup.
The team also has 3 rounds left in the league final:
- A postponed match against the Arab Contractors
- March 27 vs. Delphi
- March 30 against Zamalek
On the continental level, Egypt will host the African Women’s Club Championship from April 11 to 24.
Volleyball men… 8 matches and the African Championship
As for the Al-Ahly club’s volleyball team, it has 8 matches remaining before the end of the season, in addition to participating in the African Club Championship.
There are 4 rounds remaining in the league final:
- March 15 in front of Petrojet
- March 16 in front of Al-Ittihad Alexandria
- March 24 in front of aviation
- March 25 against Zamalek
The team will also compete in the Egypt Cup finals, starting in the round of 16:
Round of 16: March 31 against Delphi
Quarter-finals: against the winner of Sporting or Al-Zohour
Semi-final: against one of the clubs of Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, Wadi Degla, Al-Jazira or Al-Qanat
While the final brings together one of the following teams: Zamalek, Smouha, Tersana, El Gaish, Aviation, Petrojet, Petroleum, or Heliopolis.
Continental dream
Al-Ahly men are preparing to participate in the African Club Championship, which will be held in Rwanda during the period from April 20 to May 3.
Al-Ahly hopes to end the current season in the best possible way, by winning all the local and continental championships, to confirm its dominance in volleyball in Egypt and Africa.
