The Council’s Complaints Committee decided Supreme Media Headed by journalist Essam Al-Amir, Deputy of the Council, the legal representative of Al-Ahly Channel was summoned to a hearing, regarding the violations of the media codes issued by the Council.

The statement explained that the decision came based on the results of the work of the General Department of Monitoring of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, and the recommendation of the Sports Media Performance Control Committee, headed by Counselor Abdel Salam Al-Najjar, Vice President of the State Council and member of the Council.

In another context, Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, participated in the meeting of the Human Rights Committee in the House of Representatives, headed by Representative Tariq Radwan, within the framework of coordination and consultation on a number of files related to human rights, in the presence of Counselor Yasser Al-Mabadi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation and members of the committee.

Representative Tariq Radwan began the meeting by welcoming Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz and the attendees, and praised the important role played by the Supreme Media Council in organizing the media scene, adding that the media represents a fundamental pillar in supporting and protecting human rights, and that responsible media freedom is one of the most important pillars of the modern state. He stressed that freedom of expression and creativity represent a major guarantee for the development of societies and building enlightened awareness, within a framework of adherence to the law and respect for the rights of others.
