The young artist Youssef Raafat spoke about his participation in the series The Story of Narcissus, starring the artist Reham Abdel Ghafour, which was shown during the last Ramadan season of 2026, and achieved great success since the beginning of its broadcast, confirming that he watched the interviews of the conversion of the victim, Aziza Bint Satan, to Islam, which is the real character that he embodied during the events.
Youssef Raafat said in his meeting with media personality Mona El Shazly: The story of Narcissus is the most important thing that happened to me in my life, because from the first day of the show I felt like I was in a theater show, because there is no one to evaluate anyone, everyone wants to do more than he has to and be happy, and what created this is a lot of resistance and every worker was very supportive of this issue.
He added: I watched the real person, and then I said that I am making a story and it must not have outside influences, and this is the thing that I loved most about the director, that he has a picture that he wants to draw, and they do not want to do something similar, and I said that I do not want to go too deeply into copying what is happening of any kind.
The Story of Narcissus series
The Narcissus Story series discussed the silent pain that women suffer due to delayed childbearing, and its impact on marital life and psychological stability, as Reham Abdel Ghafour presented a remarkable performance, based on sincere feelings and precise details, which makes the viewer sympathize with the character from the first moment, and confirms once again her ability to choose human roles that touch reality.
A group of stars are participating in the series “The Story of Narges” alongside Reham Abdel Ghafour, namely Hamza Al-Aili, Tamer Nabil, Samah Anwar, Donia Maher, Basant Abu Pasha, Ahmed Azmy, in addition to a distinguished team written by Ammar Sabry, directed by Sameh Alaa, and produced by Mohamed Mishish.
