communication Ministry of Communications Information technology will enhance its trend towards adopting the latest advanced technologies, especially artificial intelligence technologies, within the framework of implementing the second phase of the national strategy for artificial intelligence, in a way that supports comprehensive digital transformation and enhances the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy.

Engineer Raafat Hindi, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, is keen to advance efforts to develop advanced national models and applications in the field of artificial intelligence, while working to provide a stimulating environment for startups and the private sector, enabling them to build innovative solutions based on the large Arabic linguistic model Karnak, which was developed by the Ministry’s Applied Innovation Center.

The Ministry also seeks to expand the applications of artificial intelligence developed by the center, by integrating them into a number of vital sectors, most notably education and health care, in a way that contributes to improving the quality of services provided to citizens and raising the efficiency of institutional performance.

The Ministry pays great attention to encouraging research and development in the fields of artificial intelligence, by supporting national competencies and providing specialized training programs, which contributes to preparing a generation capable of keeping pace with global developments in this vital field, and consolidating Egypt’s position as a regional center for technology and innovation.
