The Paris Saint-Germain team, led by Spanish coach Luis Enrique, defeated its Chelsea counterpart, in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League, with a score of 5-2, as the match was held on the grounds of the Princes’ Park Stadium, the stronghold of the Parisian team.
Paris Saint-Germain opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the match, after Bradley Barkola scored the first goal, benefiting from an assist from Joao Neves.
Chelsea succeeded in equalizing in the 28th minute, through Malo Gusto, after a special pass from Enzo Fernandez.
The Parisian team returned to the lead again in the 40th minute, after Ousmane Dembélé scored the second goal following a pass from Douai.
In the second half, Chelsea was able to equalize the score again in the 57th minute, as Enzo Fernandez scored the equalizer after a pass from Pedro Neto.
But Paris Saint-Germain took the lead by scoring the third goal in the 74th minute through Vitinha, giving his team the advantage during the events of the match.
The Parisian team added its fourth goal in the 86th minute at the end of the match, through its player Kvaratskhelia, and the same player returned and scored his team’s fifth goal in the 4+90 minute at the end of the match, so that the confrontation ended with the victory of Luis Enrique’s squad 5-2.

The return match between the two teams will be held next Tuesday at 10:00 Cairo time, and at 11:00 Saudi Arabia time, on the grounds of Stamford Stadium, the home of the Blues.
