He added: I extend my sincere support to the athletes who suffered from this accident, and I salute everyone who contributes, with respect, to making our country better.

The Egyptian Football Association issued an official statement this afternoon in response to the events that took place at Cornilla Stadium during the friendly match between the Egyptian national football team and the Spanish national football team, which included racist chants issued by some fans, including insults to the Islamic religion.
