Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag National University, honored 43 male and female students, who won first places in a number of student activities organized by the university’s Youth Welfare Department, in a festive atmosphere that confirmed the university’s keenness to support young talents, develop their abilities, and enhance their effective participation in various activities.

For his part, Al-Nomani expressed his sincere congratulations to his male and female students who won first places in student activities, stressing that what they have achieved reflects the spirit of excellence that the university is keen to establish in the hearts of its students. He praised the distinguished performance they showed and effective participation in various activities, explaining that the winners of the competitions organized during the holy month of Ramadan were honored, led by the Holy Quran competition, the winning teams in the Ramadan football tournament, and the winners of the Ramadan Football Competition. Table tennis for students, the winners of the table tennis competition for female students, and the male and female students who won the Ideal Student Competition. The University President also honored the departments participating in the activities and responsible for implementing these events, which are the Youth Welfare Department and the University’s Media Center.

Dr. Hussein Abdel Hafez, Vice President of the University for Academic Affairs, explained that in the Holy Quran Competition, 12 male and female students were honored, and in the Ideal Student Competition, 4 male and female students who obtained first and second places were honored, and the three winning teams in the Ramadan football tournament were honored by 21 students from the Faculties of Human Medicine, the College of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, and the College of Pharmacy. The first three places in the table tennis competition (male students) were also honored, and the first three places in the table tennis competition (female students).

It is worth noting that memorizers of the Holy Qur’an were honored, as the first place in memorizing the entire Holy Qur’an was given to the student Shahad Muhammad Sobhi Abu Al-Numan in the College of Languages, the student Shams Othman Muhammad Mahmoud in the College of Computers came in second place, and the student Mustafa Hamdi Muhammad Sobhi in the College of Human Medicine came in third place.

In the level of memorizing half of the Holy Qur’an, student Eid Fathallah Mahmoud in the College of Science won first place, followed by student Shaima Ayman Muhammad Ali in the College of Health Sciences Technology in second place, then student Farha Muhammad Abdel Radi in the College of Pharmacy in third place.

As for the level of memorizing a quarter of the Holy Qur’an, the student Abdullah Ahmed Abdel Naeem from the College of Computers, Information and Artificial Intelligence won first place, the student Muhammad Fayez Asaad from the Faculty of Computers came in second place, and the student Nesma Tariq Muhammad Ibrahim from the College of Pharmacy came in third place.

In the level of memorizing Juz Amma, the student Maryam Mustafa Jalal Fahmy at the College of Pharmacy got first place, followed by the student Yasmine Muhammad Al-Sayed Mahmoud at the College of Science in second place, then the student Asma Abdullah Ali at the College of Health Sciences Technology in third place.

As for the colleges that won the football competition, the College of Human Medicine team took first place, the College of Computers, Information and Artificial Intelligence team took second place, and the College of Pharmacy team took third place, with a total of 21 students from the three teams.

The winners of the Ideal Male and Female Student Competition were also honored, where the student, Nourhan Ahmed Abdel Baqi, from the College of Health Sciences Technology, was honored in first place, followed by the student, Yasmine Mohamed Al-Sayed Mohamed, in the College of Science, in second place, and the student Marwan Abdel Azim, in the College of Computers, Information and Artificial Intelligence, in first place, and the student Ziyad Ahmed Abdel Rahim, in the College of Pharmacy, came in second place.

The honor also included the first table tennis competition for female students, where the winning female students were honored: Salma Wael Ahmed Gad at the College of Pharmacy, Mervat Mohamed Hassan Mohamed at the College of Pharmacy, and Reham Raafat Girgis at the College of Health Sciences Technology, in addition to honoring the winning students in the male table tennis competition, namely: Mohamed Alaa Ahmed at the College of Pharmacy, Abdel Hadi Ahmed Abdel Hadi at the College of Engineering, and Mohamed Mohamed Hassan at the College of Computers, Information and Artificial Intelligence.
