Dr. Louay Saad El-Din Nusrat, Acting University President, participated AswanToday, Monday, in the activities of the 43rd educational symposium organized by the Egyptian Armed Forces on the occasion of the celebration of Martyr and Veteran’s Day, in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, at Al-Manara International Conference Center, and with the participation of a number of senior statesmen, leaders of the armed forces, and ministers.

Dr. Louay Saad El-Din Nosrat stressed that this dear national occasion embodies the Egyptian state’s appreciation for the sacrifices of its martyrs who gave their lives in defense of the homeland and to preserve its dignity, noting that the celebration of Martyr’s Day represents a message of loyalty and gratitude to all those who sacrificed in order for Egypt to remain safe and stable.

The President of Aswan University pointed out that the symposium activities included a number of diverse paragraphs that embodied the heroism and sacrifices of the martyrs. It began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a presentation entitled “The Status of the Martyr, Awareness and Love of the Homeland,” in addition to video presentations and documentary films, including the film “So We Do Not Forget,” “The Martyr’s Dream,” and “The Mission is to Protect the Homeland,” in addition to an artistic operetta entitled “100 Million Fedayeen.” The symposium also witnessed a segment entitled “Our Martyrs.” In our hearts” using artificial intelligence techniques.

He added that during the symposium, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi honored a number of families of martyrs and those injured in military operations, in a humanitarian gesture that reflects the Egyptian state’s appreciation for the sacrifices of its heroic sons and its keenness to support their families.

Dr. Louay Saad El-Din Nusrat added that the anniversary of Martyr’s Day represents an important milestone for renewing the pledge to continue working and building for the sake of the nation’s elevation. The heroics of Egypt’s martyrs will remain a source of pride and inspiration for generations, and our duty in universities is to instill in the hearts of our students the values ​​of belonging and loyalty to the nation, and to work to prepare a conscious generation capable of protecting the state’s capabilities and actively participating in the development process.

The President of Aswan University explained that the university is keen to enhance national awareness among its students by organizing cultural and awareness seminars and forums that shed light on the history of Egypt and the heroism of its people, in addition to supporting student activities that enhance the values ​​of belonging and national action, stressing that the university seeks to build the student’s integrated personality academically, culturally, and nationally to be an effective element in serving society and participating in building the new republic.
