Magdy Abdel Ghani, the former Egyptian football star, spoke about the dispute between him and Mahmoud Al-Khatib, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahly Club, and also commented on his attendance at the Suhoor party held by the Zamalek Club Board of Directors during the past month of Ramadan.

In television statements, Magdy Abdel Ghani said: All the people of my generation are happy with the dispute that occurred between me and Al-Khatib, and none of them thought that he would reconcile us with each other.

He added: They are all happy. The relationship between me and Al-Khatib is bad, and I do not know why these disagreements occur when Al-Khatib is from my generation.

He continued: Ahmed Schubert did not intervene in the reconciliation between me and Mahmoud Al-Khatib at all. I am part of Al-Ahly’s history… and the club has great credit for Al-Khatib… and Al-Ahly Club filed a case against me during the era of Captain Al-Khatib, knowing that I left my father while he was sick for the sake of Al-Ahly Club.

Magdy Abdel Ghani revealed that the Zamalek club invited him to attend the club’s suhoor, stressing that he did not intend any machinations in Al-Ahly club by attending the Zamalek suhoor.
The former Al-Ahly player went on to say: I was very happy to be invited to the Zamalek club’s suhoor, and I did not persuade Al-Ahly. If Al-Ahly had invited me, I would have gone.

Magdy Abdel Ghani concluded his statements by saying: Al-Ahly invited me to a ceremony that laid the foundation of Al-Ahly Stadium years ago and I went, but after that I was not invited to any events organized by Al-Ahly Club.
