The family of the late artist Abdel Halim Hafez announced the launch of a new website that allows the public to view the “Nightingale” house and his rare possessions, in a step aimed at preserving his artistic legacy and providing a different experience for his fans.

This initiative comes in conjunction with the family’s endeavor to have the house documented by UNESCO as one of the most important homes of art icons in Egypt and the Arab world.

The family published a statement on the official page of Abdel Halim Hafez’s house on Facebook, which stated:

“After a long absence, we returned to you with good news… We needed to be absent for a while in order to return with something worthy of the value of Abdel Halim Hafez and worthy of you,” stressing that the nightingale’s voice was not just singing, but rather the memory of a nation and an entire generation, and an artistic heritage that deserves care and documentation.

The family explained that the new website is not limited to the service of booking home visits, but rather offers a comprehensive virtual journey inside the late artist’s house, enabling the visitor to wander between its corners and learn the stories behind every detail and collectible. The site also includes a distinctive photo gallery of the nightingale and its house, giving the public the opportunity to feel the spirit of the place before the actual visit.

The family indicated the start of a special mission to register the house as an artistic heritage in UNESCO, calling on the public to support the project by evaluating their visit to the house on Google Maps, explaining that “every positive review brings us one step closer to immortalizing the name of the Nightingale internationally.”

Visitors will begin to be received at Abdel Halim Hafez’s house starting March 30, coinciding with the anniversary of his death, provided that reservations will be made exclusively through the website, while the visit will be completely free. The family appealed to his fans to read the terms and conditions of the visit in order to preserve the place and the visitors’ experience.

The family concluded its announcement by revealing that the site was officially opened to receive visitors electronically, awaiting the start of actual visits at the end of March, stressing that the goal is to keep the Nightingale’s heritage fresh in the memory of the public and its fans.
