On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at six in the evening, the Narratives Laboratory at the Library of Alexandria will organize a symposium to discuss the novel Never Stop Laughing, by writer Rasha Obada.

The novel will be discussed by critics: Dr. Hanan Al-Sharnoubi, Dr. Aziza Al-Khouly, and Dr. Muhammad Obaid, and the meeting will be moderated by the writer Mounir Otaiba, founder and director of the Narratives Laboratory at the Library of Alexandria.

The Narratives Laboratory at the Alexandria Library discusses the novel “Don’t Stop Laughing.”

It is noteworthy that Rasha Obada is an Egyptian writer and journalist. I worked as editor-in-chief of Alam al-Kitab magazine and my magazines Tele Cinema and Ali al-Mahatta. Her articles were published in many magazines and newspapers: Al-Arabi, Al-Ahram, Al-Watan, Nahdet Misr, and her satirical articles in the “Laughter” supplement in Cairo newspaper, and the Al-Akhbar newspaper’s “Farfash Keda” supplement. She has published: Half-Empty Stories 2009 by Mazoun 2011 Khamira Aknana 2018 What the Oppressed Did to the Poor Short Stories 2019 What She Told by the Disappointment of Hope 2022. She won first place in the short story branch in the Central Culture Palaces Competition 2019 for her collection What the Oppressed Did to the Poor.
