The Ministry of Interior decides to establish the Geographic Reform Center in South Port Said
The decision came after reviewing the Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, Law No. 396 of 1956 regarding the organization of correctional and community rehabilitation centers, Law No. 109 of 1971 regarding the Police Authority, Ministerial Resolution No. 113 of 1962 regarding geographical correctional centers in the governorates, and Ministerial Resolution No. 1654 of 1971 regarding the internal regulations of geographical correctional centers.
The decision also comes after reviewing Ministerial Resolution No. 19121 of 2005 regarding the reorganization of the Port Said Security Directorate, and Ministerial Resolution No. 2555 of 2022 regarding the organization of the Police Authority, and the Ministry’s plans for human resources for officers – for individuals – for civilian employees), and the memorandum of the General Administration of Organization and Administration dated 1/22/2026.
