Engineer Randa El Minshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, followed the progress of work on a number of residential projects and development projects being implemented in the city of October Gardens, where she stressed the necessity of continuing work at an accelerated pace, while adhering to the highest standards of quality and efficiency, to complete the projects on time.

The Minister of Housing received a report on the executive position on the Valera Gardens project and the 810 buildings project within the presidential initiative, housing for all Egyptians. It explained the implementation rates, business developments, and finishing works, in addition to utility, road, electricity, and communications works.

The report also included a review of the delivery status of the first phase of the Valera Gardens project, where about 750 housing units were delivered, and the delivery work is being completed successively, while ensuring the readiness of the units and their compliance with the technical specifications and approved standards. Directions were given to intensify work rates and overcome any obstacles, with full commitment to quality standards, in parallel with the preparation for the delivery of the second phase, which includes 1,179 housing units according to the established timetables, ensuring the provision of distinct housing units that meet the needs of citizens.

Reducing the phenomenon of reverse traffic and reducing traffic risks

As part of efforts to improve traffic flow and enhance public safety, the Roads Department in October Gardens continues to carry out regular maintenance work on fork bumps in various parts of the city, to ensure its efficiency in reducing the phenomenon of reverse traffic and reducing traffic risks. The city authority also continues its intensive efforts to accelerate the rates of implementation of development works and raise the efficiency of roads in a number of the city’s main axes, in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Housing, where the work of spraying the (MC) layer on the wholesale market road began, in preparation for the start of the asphalt layer paving work, according to the time schedule specified for the project, and in completion of what It was previously announced that asphalt works would begin following the completion of the necessary preparation and paving works and the completion of utility works on the road.

The report also reviewed the results of an inspection tour by Engineer Yasser Abdel Halim, head of the October Gardens City Development Agency, at the Orchid Gardens Project, to follow up on maintenance and development work in a number of vital areas in the city, as part of the agency’s plan to preserve the cultural appearance and improve the level of services provided to citizens. Various business sites were inspected, implementation rates were examined, and work was followed up to raise the efficiency of green areas and soil cover basins on main axes and roads, within the framework of a comprehensive plan aimed at preserving the city’s visual identity and improving its cultural landscape.
