The General Authority for Health Care honored Dr. Hossam Salah Murad, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al-Aini and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cairo University Hospitals. Professor Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Care, honored him and handed over a shield of honor to him, in appreciation of his contributions to developing the health care system and supporting medical education and training, during the Egyptian Doctor’s Day 2026 celebration, which was held under the slogan “From Building the System to Leading the Future.”

The honor was witnessed by Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, along with an elite group of health leaders, experts and specialists in the health sector.

Professor Dr. Hossam Salah was celebrated in appreciation of his role as one of the most prominent pioneers in the medical sector, and his contributions to supporting and developing the health care system, including supporting medical staff and health sector workers, and contributing to developing the performance of Kasr Al-Aini hospitals and all medical sector institutions, in a way that enhances the quality of health services provided to patients and serves the health system in Egypt.

The events emphasized the continued support for medical personnel and investment in training and continuing medical education, within the framework of the Egyptian state’s efforts led by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to develop the health sector and enhance the quality of medical services.

For his part, Dr. Hossam Salah expressed his happiness with this recognition, stressing that he is dedicating the shield of honor to Kasr Al-Aini professors, college faculty members, medical staff and all employees of the Kasr Al-Aini system, in appreciation of their role in supporting the process of medical education and developing the health system, stressing that this honor represents an appreciation for the entire Kasr Al-Aini system, as it is the scientific and medical edifice to which it belongs and represents a model of scientific and medical leadership and an extended history of giving in serving the health system. In Egypt, expressing his pride in belonging to this ancient medical edifice, stressing that his career will remain directed to serving the health system, wishing continued progress and prosperity for the medical education and health care system in Egypt.
